Who stole the Easter Egg?

Today, Y6 were visited by two forensic scientists (Tom and Rob) who had a mystery for us to solve.

We began by finding out about finger prints. We each took our own prints and identified the different features (bows, loops and whirls). We then looked at the suspect’s prints and tried to identify the thief

Aoife’s mum came in to tell us what it was like to be a doctor. She gave us some top tips on how to follow in her footsteps through learning some first aid.

World Book Day 2017

We have all enjoyed our day. There was great excitement this morning when we saw the fantastic costumes.

First    , we had a book blitz where we had 1 minute to tell a partner all about our favourite book. This was followed by a class quiz and book cover designs. We read, in pairs, to children in the reception class.

This afternoon, we worked with poet, Bernard Young, to write poems on a variety of subjects including chicken nuggets, Xbox, eating lizards and machines!

We shared our poems during the assembly at the end of the day.
