World Book Day 2017

We have all enjoyed our day. There was great excitement this morning when we saw the fantastic costumes.

First    , we had a book blitz where we had 1 minute to tell a partner all about our favourite book. This was followed by a class quiz and book cover designs. We read, in pairs, to children in the reception class.

This afternoon, we worked with poet, Bernard Young, to write poems on a variety of subjects including chicken nuggets, Xbox, eating lizards and machines!

We shared our poems during the assembly at the end of the day.
